Everybody who likes partying, fireworks and a lot of noise just HAS TO go to Valencia during "Las Fallas". This is one of the biggest and most famous cityfestivals in Spain. It is known as the festival of fire and noise...and you get a lot of that!!!!

You will have some amazing days there wondering about all the packed streets at 04.00h in the morning, wondering about the Spanish people, that build huge sculptures of wood and carton just to have them (about 700 all over Valencia) presented in all the neighborhoods for a couple of days and to burn them on the last days of "Las Fallas". And also wondering about all the really hot Valencianas ;)

I just had some awesome days there!! I saw the best fireworks in my life and I was suprised by marching bands (yes MARCHING BANDS with trumpets and drums!!) passing through all streets at 03.00h as well as 08.00h in the morning...and during the entire day.

And after all Valencia as a city is really a jewel at the Spanish coast!! Wonderful beach, impressing "Ciutat de Ciencias", which is a great architectured and very modern area with museums and Valencia has like most Spanish cities  a old and beautiful downtown.

Useful information:

• takes place each year in the middle of march
• reservation for hostels/hotels very early, because they are going to be booked out
• Take Aspirin and a lot of coffee...because you won't  going to sleep very much
• It is not too bad if the hostel/hotel is not in the middle of the city because there are going to be busses 24h a day at all the days of "Las Fallas"
• Take your bathing suit!!!
