I see comments on some business’ pages. How do I post one? I feel like I received a comment post that I don’t deserve. How can I remove it? I uploaded a picture but instead it only displays with the title and I still can't see the photo. How do I show my profile to others? There are two ways to do this. The first is to send them an invite from your MyPage. This sends them a basic invitation with your profile name. When they click on the link they arrive directly on your MyPage. Currently, you cannot edit the text that is sent to them, but we hope to have this available in the second build. The second form is to copy the URL from your “MyPage” and paste that in an email to your friends. I have received an email saying that I have a new friend. I can't figure out how to add him/her as a friend! To add a user as a friend, first check to make sure that next to his/her name in your “friend’s list management” it says, “Accept Request?” If it does, you must click on the icon that has a person and a green plus sign over it. Clicking this icon will add the user as a friend. I just finished signing up, but I haven’t received an email confirmation. What do I do? This sometimes happens because your email got caught in your junk mail filter. Check there or do a search within your email for “JumpArtist.com.” Nine times out of ten, this is the problem. If you have checked here and haven’t received anything it might be because your mail server is taking it’s sweet time handing you the email. Hotmail, for example, is well-known for occasionally taking hours to pass off emails. If you have no problem accessing our homepage then rest assured that the mail got sent. We believe that we have fixed most problems with junk mail reception. Make sure to mark our emails as “not junk.” Our mails are only to notify you when other users have contacted you through our site. I lost my password! Uh oh! Go to your email and search for “Account Activation JumpArtist.com” you should find the original email that we sent you with your password information. If you can’t find this, send us an email at support @ jumpartist.com (without the spaces). We don’t have this feature automated yet, so we have to verify your email and reset your email manually. So it could take a little bit, but as we are somewhat addicted to the internet, it shouldn’t take more than a few hours. How do I change my password and all other account info? Just log into your account and click on “edit personal info” on your MyPage. That will take you back to the fields you entered when you originally signed up with us. By typing in a new password and confirming you will have changed it. Can I search my friend’s email address to find him or her? Not yet. But, as we are fairly young try searching for them by city and you’ll probably find them quite easily. How do I get my posts to show up on the homepage? Our system automatically pulls blogs and photos out of profiles at random to put on the homepage. What does this mean? It means that any of your photos or blogs could show up at any point in time to drive more people to your profile page! Update your page as the latest info shows first. I have received repeated unwanted solicitations from a business and want it to stop! If you feel at any point in time that a user of our site is bothering you, please don’t hesitate to write to us. We will investigate the matter immediately. Our highest priority is to stop spammers from taking advantage of what we have created here at JumpArtist.com. If a user is bothering you, tell us. Write to our support department. How many photos can I upload? Currently the access is unlimited, however we ask that you try to keep it under 20 as it becomes cumbersome for other users to view them. I see comments on some business’ pages. How do I post one? When you are logged into your account, next to the icon to send an operator a message you will see another letter icon that is a different color. This allows you to make a post on that business’ profile page. We ask that you try to keep your negative posts to a minimum unless you feel the operator really deserves it. The moderator will remove abusive posts. I feel like I received a comment post that I don’t deserve. How can I remove it? If the post is truly abusive and does not offer a clear critique, the moderator will remove it. On the other hand honesty and differing opinions will be left on your page. Part of the reviewing process will inevitably include bad comments. If the good outweighs the bad, your company should not have any problems. I have decided that I would no longer like to recieve user notifications nor my free membership with your site. How do I cancel? We wish you wouldn't go, but if you can't stay with us, just send us an email from the email account you signed up with requesting a cancellation. Cancellation are completed as soon as our administrator recieves your request. I uploaded a photo but instead it only shows with the title and I still can't see the photo. If your file is over 2 megs in size our system may time out before it finishes the upload. This, unfortunately, is a mechanism that has to be in place because of system resources. Please try manually resizing the photo using a photo editing program like iphoto or adobe photo deluxe. Users may still not have problems with photos over 2 megs if they are accessing from a very high speed connection. The limit has to do with the number of seconds the server is engaged. If you have this problem please try resizing manually or finding a higher speed connection. |
